On Tuesday 9th August 2023 seven members met up at Rousham House in Oxfordshire for an extra event, not included in the clubs programme, to spend an evening photographing Rousham House Gardens. The weather was for once dry, hot and sunny after the non summer in the previous several weeks, which included an initial planned date to visit two weeks previous but due to heavy rain in the forecast was postponed.
Rousham House Gardens has several different themes within the gardens themselves which the attending members were free to explore. The bright sunshine provided its own problems with high contrast lighting but all attending came away with an array of photographs of the gardens and due to there being very little breeze about, in camera focus stacking was a popular method used on individual flowers in the walled garden area. As a picture is better than a thousand words a few photographs are displayed for you to enjoy.
